Review: Marinated Brussels Sprouts

A tasty snack for the Super Bowl 2011, that also just happens to be low in calories and healthy too.

A tasty snack with marinated Brussels Sprouts (Harald Walker)

Get a head start and make them soon, so that they have time to soak up all the yummy flavorings. We found this tasty recipe at the Lemons and Lavender Blog. We made it a week ago and just enjoyed them last night. Wow were they a hit! Very yummy indeed. We only did 2 things differently. We steamed the Brussels sprouts lightly and added a bit of sambal oelek to the marinade.

Well, that’s the most exciting thing I’ve seen done to a Brussels sprout in a while!

  2. This sounds so nice. I’ll have to make this for my son and I due to the husband not liking brussel sprouts.

Hi dreaminit :-) Nice to her from you.
This was very tasty. We like Brussels sprouts, and have them often, in many different ways. It’s a pity your husband doesn’t like them. Do you put the little X on the bottom, that helps to cook them evenly with less time so they seem sweeter. And also..an old German belief is that they must be frozen..either outside…or in a freezer first in order to sweeten them.
    This is also very tasty
