Puffed Wheat Smoothy

Last weekend we made our own soy milk and used some of it for this great smoothy, which is easy to make and very healthy.

This is a great smoothy, easy to make, and very healthy. (Harald Walker)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup vanilla soy milk
  • 1 cup puffed wheat cereal (without honey)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • capful vanilla extract if not using vanilla soy milk
  • pinch of salt
  • few ice cubes

This is a great smoothy, easy to make, and very healthy. (Harald Walker)

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and whizz.
  2. Depending on thickness you may want to add a few more ice cubes or water.

Notes:

In Spanish known as Batido de Trigo.

  1. I tried this smoothie over Christmas, with a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg for an egg nog kind of feel, and it was fantastic! Thanks again for the idea Chris!
