Puffed Wheat Smoothy
Last weekend we made our own soy milk and used some of it for this great smoothy, which is easy to make and very healthy.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup vanilla soy milk
- 1 cup puffed wheat cereal (without honey)
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- capful vanilla extract if not using vanilla soy milk
- pinch of salt
- few ice cubes

Directions:
- Place all ingredients in a blender and whizz.
- Depending on thickness you may want to add a few more ice cubes or water.
Notes:
In Spanish known as Batido de Trigo.

I tried this smoothie over Christmas, with a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg for an egg nog kind of feel, and it was fantastic! Thanks again for the idea Chris!
Hi Heather,
I’m glad you liked it.
I’m so glad to hear from you, and thank you for getting back to us about the wheat “nog” I had a feeling it would be good. I really like that smoothie… love the wheaty flavor
