Hi Sarah,
end of August I switched to Feedburner (see this post) for the feeds, which should improve the feed quality. Did you experience the chance from that moment on?

Hey there

You know, I like your blog very much, but your feed has recently developed this habit of renewing itself - not sure why and I was wondering if it was something you had changed? This means that every single time my newsreader refreshes it tells me I have a new recipe (or sometimes 3), so I go and have a look, only to see the same recipe for the 100th time (I'm only very slightly exaggerating). As I like your blog, I thought I'd let you know rather than just deleting it entirely from my newsreader, as I generally do when this happens. I suspect if I find this annoying, I'm not the only one. I wouldn't be surprised if many of them reacted by removing it too.

Just thought I'd mention it - if you want to talk about it any more please feel free to email me!

ciao
