Nutmeg mushrooms

A tasty appetizer or side dish which gives a lovely aromatic smell.

Nutmeg mushrooms

Serving Size: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. fresh mushrooms
  • 3/4 cup white wine
  • 1 tbs. nutmeg, ground
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions:

  1. Clean and slice the mushrooms or serve whole if they are smal.
  2. Combine all ingredients and cook over medium heat until the wine comes to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low and cook until mushrooms are tender.
  4. Remove from heat and serve while hot.

    Oooh, those look delicious! However, I’m kinda underage so I don’t drink or use alcohol in cooking… what could I use instead? Would vegetable stock be ok, or is there something else that would still give it a nice flavour?
